ZF auto parts plant opens in Serbia

European businesses   ZF will hire over 1,000 people in Serbia

German automotive company ZF opened an auto parts factory in Pancevo, northern Serbia, that will hire over 1,000 people.


The opening ceremony was attended by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Vojvodina PM Igor Mirovic, German Ambassador to Serbia Thomas Schieb, Pancevo Mayor Sasa Pavlov, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia President Marko Cadez, the head of ZF's E-Mobility division Jorg Grottendorst and ZF Executive Board member Michael Hankel.

The factory will produce parts for Mercedes, Audi, Volvo and other renowned automotive brands.

Located in Pancevo's North Industrial Zone, the plant will produce electric motors, electric machines and hybrid and electric drive generators, as well as gear switches and microswitches.
