Vietnam to open modern car factory this year
Asia   Experimental VinFast models were sent to 14 nations by late March

Vietnam will open a modern car factory by mid-year, and it will be among the largest in Southeast Asia, Vinfast company, specializing in this line, announced on Tuesday.

The industry, belonging to VinGroup, the largest private conglomerate in the country and with a synchronous and automated production chain, including the use of thousands of robots, was executed in just 21 months and will go into operation three months in advance.

Experimental VinFast models were sent to 14 nations by late March to see if they met international standards. The results were so promising that company executives were encouraged to accelerate the completion of the plant.

The company plans to launch in June its CUV Fadil (mixed cars combining the pragmatism of a tourist car with the strength of an SUV), and in the third quarter, sedans and SUV (sports utility vehicle).
