A strike at Germany's largest airline, Lufthansa, has been averted after a cabin crew union announces it would hold further negotiations with the airline.
No strike   New talks at Lufthansa in December
The cabin crew union UFO said that it would cancel previously announced strike for Thursday, Friday and Monday. The union for flight attendants said there would be further negotiations leading up to a so-called job summit with Lufthansa on December 2.

As a basis for further talks, "it was necessary that Lufthansa makes significant concessions, particularly regarding pensions and retirement benefits," UFO chief Nicoley Baublies said Wednesday. "This has now happened."
