A strike at Germany's largest airline, Lufthansa, has been averted after a cabin crew union announces it would hold further negotiations with the airline.

As a basis for further talks, "it was necessary that Lufthansa makes significant concessions, particularly regarding pensions and retirement benefits," UFO chief Nicoley Baublies said Wednesday. "This has now happened." ■
