POST joins leading publishers with adoption of Google Accelerated Mobile PagesStaff writer ▼ | July 12, 2016
POST Online Media, the global business website, implemented Google Accelerated Mobile Pages to bring their readers the best - and the fastest - experience on mobile devices.
New experience POST Online Media is faster than ever
"Google AMP is a project that forces developers to make webpages as they should be: small and fast, with readers in the center. This is especially important experience on mobile devices - every megabyte is draining readers' data plans and wallets, and every second spent in waiting means bad user experience.
"Being fortunate to have a talented developing team, we decided to embrace Google AMP because we already incorporated the best web practice, offering not just interesting stories, but also fast and clean webpages, both on mobile and desktop devices," continued Ms. Sesvecan.
"That said, the implementation was nice and smooth, and record fast, considering that we decided to convert more that 65,000 articles at once and spread AMP philosophy not just on articles, but on the whole POST mobile website.
"Thanks to Google's well-known specifications - and being warmly supported on forums - we managed to convert thousands of our articles in matter of days and we are very proud we did it. And we are already thinking about new improvements guided by data we collect from our readers.
"It is a process that continues because our chief developer continues to work on improvements 'under the hood', because we want to be at the forefront of the best tech experience that supports our widely accepted and successful editorial policy," concluded Ms. Sesvecan. ■
