FACUA previously reported that the telecoms sector as a whole received by far the greater share of all complaints submitted last year, around 37.6 percent of the total, followed by the banking sector (17.4 percent), energy utilities (10.7 percent) and insurance companies (4.5 percent).
Consumers mainly protested about operators failing to fulfil promotional offers, sending bills after the termination of the contract, applying or threatening to apply unfair penalties for early contract termination and charging for calls that weren't made or services that weren't part of the original contract. ■
