Meggitt to provide $57.3 million HVAC system from General Dynamics Land Systems Canada

Meggitt plc announces that Meggitt Defence Systems of Irvine, California, has received a $57.3 million contract to provide heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems from General Dynamics Land Systems Canada (GDLS-C).

The Meggitt HVAC, which will provide cooling and heating to driver and crew, is size, weight and power-optimised, based on Meggitt's leading capability in mission-critical, supplemental vapour cycle systems for ground combat and military aircraft platforms.

Meggitt has supplied thermal management systems to General Dynamics Land Systems for over a decade including over 2,100 similar systems for the M1A2 SEP version of the Abrams main battle tank.

Meggitt Defense Systems Inc, a subsidiary of Meggitt PLC, specializes in the design, development and production of ammunition handling systems, radar and digital processing systems, and environmental control systems.

Meggitt Defense Systems products are in use on virtually all US military training ranges and on many of the world's leading military platforms.
