Russia’s oil major Lukoil acquired filling station chains in Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg in the first half of this year, first vice-president Vladimir Nekrasov said.
Oil industry First vice-president Vladimir Nekrasov:
As was reported earlier Lukoil might finalize the deal on acquiring a chain of gas filling stations in the Benelux countries (Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg) in the second quarter. The company planned to buy around 250 stations in Holland and other countries of Benelux.
Nekrasov said that Lukoil was selling filling stations in the areas where the company had no refinery assets in the immediate vicinity and buying those located within its refinery logistics instead.
In early February, Lukoil Europe Holdings BV (a subsidiary of Lukoil) and Austria's AMIC Energy Management GmbH signed a contract for the sale of approximately 230 gas filling stations in Lithuania, Latvia and Poland. ■
