With a total area of 20,000 m2, the new CMA CGM logistics storehouse in Taanayel allows the storage of 1,000 empty containers (TEUs).
Thanks to this new facility, the CMA CGM Group responds to requests for import/export from Lebanon’s largest agricultural area.
This logistics solution also facilitates the recovery of empty containers, thus reducing costs and saving considerable time.
Located 50 km from the port of Beirut and 124 km from the port of Tripoli, the logistics storehouse of Taanayel of the CMA CGM Group is also at the crossroads of the Lebanese coast and Damascus (in Syria) on one of the most important trade routes in the Middle-East.
This location in the Bekaa valley is strategic for the import and export of fruit and vegetables as well as for other products for Arab countries including Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
CMA CGM’s Beirut office employs close to 200 people, maintains a strong relationship with Lebanon and wishes to continue to support its economic development. ■
