Outsourcing company Carillion won a seven-year contract extension from Nationwide Building Society worth around £350m to provide facility management services at its branches and offices.

Carillion CEO Richard Howson said the contract renewal demonstrated the "success" of its long-term partnership with Nationwide and the company's focus on collaborating with customers and using its knowledge in whole-life property management and services.
He added: "Our strong emphasis on delivering sustainable services is also a key differentiator, as both Nationwide and Carillion are focused on responsible business practice that maximises the benefits our operations can have on the communities in which we operate". ■
