BBC is cutting 450 jobs in a shake up of regional TV news and local radio in England.
A ‘simplified schedule’ used for local radio during the pandemic, with one presenter instead of two, will be permanent. The National Union of Journalists said it ‘could have a serious impact’ on the BBC’s ‘ability to represent all parts of the country’. ■
