Air India to ban single-use plastic in flights from October 2

India's state-owned carrier Air India (AI) will completely ban the use of plastic in Alliance Air and Air India Express from October 2, state-run broadcaster All India Radio said on Thursday.

It is reported that the plastic tea cups will be replaced with sturdy paper cups and plastic tumblers will be replaced with paper tumblers.
