The largest COMPAC fruit sorting platform inaugurated

Staff Writer | April 4, 2017
The largest sorting and automatic ranking platform in history, with the capacity to pack more than 40 million trays, has just been inaugurated in Te Puke in New Zealand.
100,000 trays per shift   The first fruit sorter in the industry
The new 14-lane COMPAC is the first fruit sorter in the industry with more than 10 lines.

It can pack 100,000 trays per shift and will give EastPack the ability to pack over 40 million kiwi trays.

This equipment using the latest optical and automatic sorting technologies underlines the enormous development that this site has had. The cost of investments on the site amounts to nearly NZD 25 million.

Three years ago, the site was affected by the effects of the PSA disease that affected the entire industry and packed only 25 million kiwi trays.
