Russian Minister of Agriculture Alexander Tkachev said lifting the Russian food embargo would not affect Russian agricultural producers, but could provide them with additional financial opportunities.
Russia To provide farmers them with additional financial opportunities
The food embargo lifting will only take place on condition that sanctions against Russia are cancelled, Tkachev said. In turn, this will open access to additional financial resources for Russian agricultural producers, he added.
At the same time, it is not ruled out that additional measures may have to be taken to support Russian producers if the food embargo is not lifted, the minister said. ■
