The agreements were signed by Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) and the General Administration of Customs of China.

“We have done a lot to ensure the access of agricultural products to the Chinese market. During our visit to China, we have reached agreements, which open the prospect of exporting a number of types of livestock products. We expect that first deliveries will take place already this year,” said Russian Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev.

According to the documents, Russian poultry farmers, producers of milk (cow, goat and sheep) and dairy products will have the opportunity to supply China with their products.

As the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia stressed, the Chinese market is one of key priorities for the development of Russian domestic exports. Russia will continue to work on expanding access of its agricultural products to China in order to make it possible in future to significantly increase the volume of bilateral trade between the countries.
