“Russian Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev has ordered relevant departments to create a working group, to study the current situation and consider lifting temporary restrictions if uncovered violations are eliminated,” the statement said.

Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Oversight earlier limited imports of milk and some dairy products from Belarus from Wednesday.

Press secretary Yulia Melano said earlier that the restrictions will affect milk and cream, pasteurized, sterilized, and ultra-pasteurized, dry milk and cream, concentrated, canned and condensed, dairy whey, concentrated and dry, and whey concentrate and milk protein supplied in a consumer pack of over 2.5 liters.
