Russia Russia and Morocco display mutual interest in sustainability
The Chairman of the Russian party of the Commission is the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev.
The first meeting of the Russian-Moroccan Working Group on Agriculture under the Intergovernmental Commission will be presided by the departmental heads of the national agricultural ministries.
The Russian party will be represented by Maxim Markovich, who discussed with the Ambassador the details of the Russian business mission to Morocco, consisting of the officials representing the largest agrienterprises, to be a part of the upcoming Intergovernmental Commission.
Russia and Morocco display mutual interest in sustainability of national agrarian sectors, which is expressed, inter alia, in steadily growing trade turnover and ongoing expansion of Russian export agriproduct line.
In addition to wheat, the Russian party is interested in increasing supplies to the Moroccan market of poultry meat, mutton, and, after final approval of all veterinary and other documents, also beef, milk and dairy products.
The parties also highlighted the importance of expanding mutual cooperation, operating on the premise that Morocco is a major importer of agricultural products on the African continent. ■
