Japan lifts ban on import of Polish poultry and eggs

Japan lifted the ban on the import of Polish meat and poultry products as well as eggs and their products, informed the Chief Veterinary Inspectorate. The restrictions were introduced due to the outbreaks of HPAI (avian influenza) in Poland.

Thanks to the lifting of restrictions, poultry meat and poultry meat products from animals slaughtered on July 30, 2020, and later, and eggs laid on July 30, 2020, and later, and products derived therefrom, can be exported to Japan.

Also, Singapore, Armenia and Hong Kong announced in June that some restrictions on the import of poultry from Poland were lifted.
