Amount of collected cow's milk in Turkey in July increased 3.4%

The amount of collected cow's milk in Turkey in July increased by 3.4% when compared to the same month of the previous year.

Dairy in Turkey   Cheese production was 48,785 tonnes
Drinking milk production by integrated dairies became 92,608 tonnes in July and decreased by 3.9% when compared to the same month of the previous year. Cheese production from cow’s milk was 48,785 tonnes and decreased by 5.8% when compared to the same month of the previous year.

Cheese production from sheep, goat, buffalo and mixed milk was 2,701 tonnes and decreased by 25.2% when compared to the same month of the previous year.

Yoghurt production became 106,39 tonnes in July and increased by 11.3% when compared to same month of the previous year. Drink made of yoghurt production became 63,116 tonnes and increased by 17% when compared to the same month of the previous year.

In July the average fat rate of cow’s milk collected by integrated dairies was 3.4%, the average rate of protein was 3.2%.

Seasonal and calendar adjusted amount of collected cow’s milk in July when compared to the previous month increased by 1%. Calendar adjusted collect amount of cow’s milk in July when compared to the same month of the previous year increased by 4.3%.
