Algeria's dairy imports drop 30.83 percent

Algeria imported $262.72 million worth of dairy year-to-date through April, down 30.83% from January to April 2015, the country's National Center for Statistics and Information (CNIS) reported.

In the first four months of 2016, the country imported 104,500 tons of dairy, 16% less than from January to April, 2015.

Algeria relies on dairy imports to supply its domestic market, but it is encouraging national production to reduce its dependency.
