Viacom interim CEO Tom Dooley to depart
Mr. Dooley has been the Chief Executive Officer of Viacom, Inc. since August 2016. Mr. Dooley served as Chief Operating Officer of Viacom, Inc. since May 2010 until August 2016 and served as its Senior Executive Vice President since September 2006.
Mr. Dooley served as the Chief Financial Officer of Viacom, Inc. from January 01, 2007 until September 2010. He served as the Chief Administrative Officer and Senior Executive Vice President at Viacom, Inc. from September 05, 2006 to May 2010.
He served as an Executive Vice President of Viacom International Inc. since 1994 and Deputy Chairman since 1996 and joined it in 1980 in the corporate finance area and has held various positions in the corporate and divisional finance areas.
Prior to joined Viacom, Mr. Dooley served as Co-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DND Capital Partners, LLC. from May 2000 to September 2006. He co-founding DND Capital Partners.
From July 1992 to March 1994, Mr. Dooley served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development of CBS Corporation. From August 1993 to March 1994, he also served as President of Interactive Television of CBS Corporation. Mr. Dooley served as CBS Corporation's Vice President and Treasurer from 1987 to 1994.
Mr. Dooley joined the former Viacom Inc., in 1980 and also held various divisional and corporate positions, including Senior Vice President, Corporate Development; President, Interactive Television; and Vice President, Finance, and Treasurer.
Mr. Dooley served as Deputy Chairman of the former Viacom Inc. He has been a Director of The MTVi Group, Inc., since February 2000. He has been a Director of Sapphire Industrials Corp., since October 2007 and Viacom, Inc. since January 1, 2006.
Mr. Dooley serves as a Director of the International Radio & Television Society and Member of the Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM), the Museum of Television and Radio and the American Management Association.
Mr. Dooley served as a Director of Spelling Entertainment Group Inc., since April 1996, CBS Corporation since December 2005 and Uproar Inc., since March 2000. He served as an Independent Director of LaBranche & Co. Inc., from March 2000 to January 18, 2007 and Presiding Director until January 18, 2007.
Mr. Dooley earned a B.S. from St. John's University and an M.B.A. from the New York University Graduate School of Business.
He has agreed to remain in that position through November 15, 2016, to facilitate an orderly transition. ■
