Veracyte CFO Shelly D. Guyer resigns

VeracyteVeracyte, a molecular diagnostics company, announced the resignation of Shelly D. Guyer, the company's chief financial officer.

Ms. Guyer will remain in the position for the next few months. She joined Veracyte as Chief Financial Officer in April 2013, bringing over 25 years of experience in the finance and life science industries.

Prior to Veracyte, Ms. Guyer served as CFO and Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration at iRhythm Technologies where she was responsible for Finance, Accounting and administrative functions.

Prior to that, Ms. Guyer served on the management team and as Vice President of Business Development and Investor Relations at Nuvelo, a biotechnology company.

She began her business career at J.P. Morgan Securities and its predecessor companies, where for over 17 years she held various positions, including Principal and VP of Health Care Banking for the West Coast, leading financings for a variety of large and small cap life science companies; as a manager in the Investment Banking Division; and as VP with Hambrecht & Quist Venture Partners.

Ms. Guyer received an M.B.A. from the Walter A. Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.A., summa cum laude, from Princeton University. In 2014, she was honored as one of the "Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business" by the San Francisco Business Times.
