Two directors resign from City of London Group

City Of London GroupCity Of London Group, an investment company, announces that Andrew Crossley and Andrew Crowe have resigned as non-executive directors.

Mr. Crossley was appointed to the Board on 19 October 2015. Mr. Crossley is currently the Managing Director of Westhouse Securities having left Peel Hunt in 2015, where he spent four years as Head of Corporate Sales and subsequently Head of ECM/Syndicate.

At Peel Hunt Mr. Crossley had both a financial advisory and execution role and sat at the interface between corporate clients and investing institutions.

Prior to his move to the sell side he spent twenty-four years, principally at Invesco Perpetual, as one of the UK's best known UK small cap fund managers.

Mr. Crossley currently sits on the AIM Advisory Group and will bring a wealth of corporate governance and capital market expertise to the Company.

Mr. Crowe was appointed to the Board in December 2013. He started his career with Coopers & Lybrand in 1995, moving into Transaction Services shortly after qualifying with the ICAEW in 1998.

Mr. Crowe spent the next 7 years advising corporate and private equity clients on large and small transactions across diverse sectors.

In 2005 he joined Meggitt plc as Group M&A Manager to support the Group's aggressive acquisition strategy, also successfully disposing of some non-core businesses.

Mr. Crowe moved into an operational finance role in 2008, as Finance Director in a number of business units in California and most recently as Divisional Finance Director for the Control Systems division. He left Meggitt in November 2013 to pursue other business interests.
