Trudy Schoolenberg new director at Low & Bonar
Ms. Schoolenberg has recently become Director of Research, Development and Innovation for AKZO Nobel's Decorative Paints Division, one of AKZO Nobel's three main divisions.
Prior to that she had most recently served as Vice-president of Global Research & Development at Wartsila Oy, having previously worked for 21 years for Royal Dutch Shell.
Ms. Schoolenberg is currently also a non-executive director of COVA, the agency responsible for maintaining the Dutch strategic oil and petrochemical reserves, and of Spirax-Sarco Engineering Plc.
The company also announced that Folkert Blaisse, non-executive director, stepped down from the board.
Mr. Blaisse was appointed as a Non-Executive Director in January 2007.
He served as Chairman of Colbond until the business was acquired by Low & Bonar.
He is a director of Acordis Beheer, non-executive director of Cordenka Investments and of Corsadi, and Chairman, Leiden University Fund.
He was previously CEOof Acordis, and held several senior roles at Akzo Nobel, culminating in his appointment as executive board member.
