Thorn names COO and development director
Mr. Christie joins from ARACAP International Limited, where he is a Managing Director, focusing on identifying and pioneering new business models and disruptive technologies in frontier and emerging markets for traditional sectors such as insurance and then introducing them to more mature markets.
He has extensive management and operational experience in several sectors including healthcare.
Before that, Mr. Christie was an executive committee member for Emergent Asset Management, where he was a founding member of the World Bank’s committee for responsible investment in agriculture.
Mr. Wilson joins from Radley Pharma Limited, a life sciences and healthcare business commercialising science and technology, which he founded in 2010 and which is now a subsidiary of Thorn.
Mr. Wilson has extensive experience of forming, building and valuing technology businesses and has served on public and private company boards in the engineering, facilities and life sciences fields for over 30 years.
He also has considerable experience in corporate finance after earlier qualifying as a Chartered Accountant and working with KPMG after studying chemistry at Edinburgh University. ■
