OPG Power Ventures director Munish C. Gupta to retire

OPG Power VenturesOPG Power Ventures announced that Munish C. Gupta has informed the board of his intention to retire from the board at the annual general meeting.

Mr. Gupta is a retired senior civil servant of the Indian Administrative Service, the premier civil service of India.

During his service he held a number of senior appointments, notably those of Secretary, Ministry of Industry, Government of India and Chief Secretary to the Government of Haryana State.

As Secretary to the Ministry of Industry, Mr. Gupta was one of civil service officers responsible for initiating and implementing the process of economic reforms which began in the 1990’s in India and which continue to this day.

Mr. Gupta serves on the boards of a number of public companies in India including Bhansali Engineering Polymers Ltd. and Lumax Industries Ltd. as an independent director.

Tthe Company appointed Jeremy Beeton as an Independent Non-Executive Director.

Mr. Beeton has more than 40 years' international business experience including in Government, corporate, project management, construction and facilities management.

He is currently a Non-Executive Director of SSE, WYG and John Laing Group plc as well as being an Advisory Board member of PricewaterhouseCoopers, a Director of Tanah Merah and Chairman of Merseylink.

Mr. Beeton also sits on the governing Court of Strathclyde University. He spent five years (2007-2012) as Director General of the UK Government Olympic Executive.

Between 1999 and 2007 Mr. Beeton was Principal Vice President and Director of Bechtel Ltd with responsibility for the management and delivery of Bechtel's worldwide civil engineering projects in its infrastructure and aviation business lines.
