Nanosonics names Marie McDonald as non-executive director
Ms. McDonald has a strong background in corporate and commercial law having practised for many years as a partner of Ashurst.
Her experience includes mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, continuous disclosure, related party transactions, buybacks and capital raisings.
Ms. McDonald was Chair of the Corporations Committee of the Business Law Section of the Law Council of Australia from 2012 to 2013, having previously been a Deputy Chair.
She was also a member of the Australian Takeovers Panel from 2001 to 2010. She is currently a non-executive Director of CSL Limited.
Ms. McDonald’s qualifications include Bachelor of Science (Hons) and Bachelor of Laws (Hons).
The Company also announced that Dr Ron Weinberger has indicated his intention to retire from the Board of Nanosonics at the conclusion of the Company’s Annual General Meeting on 4 November 2016.
Dr. Weinberger joined the Company in August 2004 and was appointed as Executive Director in July 2008.
He continues to be a member of the Senior Executive team at Nanosonics in his position as President Technology Development/Commercialisation. ■
