Monolithic Power Systems appoints Bernie Blegen as CFO
Mr. Blegen has served as MPS’ interim chief financial officer since March 2016. From August 2011 to March 2016, he served as MPS’ corporate controller.
Prior to joining MPS, he held a number of senior finance and executive accounting roles for other publicly traded technology companies, including Xilinx, Inc.
MPS also announced that Karen A. Smith Bogart has submitted her resignation as an independent member of the Board of Directors.
Ms. Smith Bogart has served on Company's Board since May 2007. She is President of Smith Bogart Consulting, a business advisory firm located in Santa Barbara, CA, a position that she has held since 2006. She also teaches business strategy and leadership at the University of California at Santa Barbara.
From 2003 to 2006, Ms. Smith Bogart was Chairman and President, Greater Asia Region and Senior Vice President of Eastman Kodak Company, located in Shanghai, China.
She managed many of Eastman Kodak’s largest global businesses, including Kodak Professional Imaging, Consumer Printing, and Consumer Cameras and Batteries. She is also a director for Mohawk Industries, Inc.
Ms. Smith Bogart holds a B.A. in Political Science from the State University of New York at Geneseo; a Masters in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University; an M.B.A. from the University of Rochester; and a Master of Arts and Ph.D. in Human Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University. ■
