May 17, 2008, Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Shaza Hotels, the regional lifestyle hospitality brand today announced it has appointed Michel Novatin as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Novatin is a seasoned hotel executive with more than 40 years of hospitality experience across many countries, having worked with some of the most established global hotel brands. Mr. Novatin was General Manager of several Inter-Continental and Le Méridien hotels from 1972 until 1986 in Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Mr. Novatin was Président Directeur Général of the Tourism Branch of the Danone Group, based at the Domaine du Royal Club Evian in France for seven years. Michel Novatin has been named Director of Operations for Kempinski Hotels & Resorts. As such, he takes the seat left vacant a few months ago by Hervé Houdré. Novatin joins Kempinski from Société des Bains de Mer (Monte Carlo), where he was Group Managing Director for five years.
