Maroc Telecom names new board members
Mr. Semmar is currently Director of Public companies and Privatization at the Ministry of Economy and Finance. He served for 34 years over which 32 years at the Ministry of Economy and Finance occupying senior positions including Chief of the Department “Programming and Restructuring’’ and Deputy Director for Research and Information System.
He is also Chairman of the Interdepartmental Commission of Public-Private Partnership and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National Accounting Council. Mr. Semmar graduated in Business Administration at the University of Casablanca.
He holds the second Certificate of Advanced Studies in Economics from the University of Rabat and the postgraduate Diploma of the National School of Public Administration in Rabat.
Mr. Dowidar is currently Chief Executive Officer, Etisalat International since March 2016. He joined Etisalat in September 2015 as Group Chief Operating Officer. He was Chairman of Vodafone Egypt and Group Chief of Staff for Vodafone Group.
Mr. Dowidar has over 25 years of experience in multinational companies. He initially joined Vodafone Egypt in its early start-up operation in 1999 as Chief Marketing Officer, to occupy later the role of CEO Vodafone Malta, then he became the CEO of Vodafone Egypt from 2009 - 2014.
Mr. Dowidar holds a Bachelor Degree in Communications and Electronics Engineering from Cairo University and an MBA from the American University in Cairo.
The Supervisory Board has also appointed Brahim Boudaoud as a member of Maroc Telecom’s Management Board.
Mr. Boudaoud has held several management positions since 2000 within the same group, including the functions of Commercial Director, Director of consumer sales, Marketing Director and General Manager of Regulatory and Legal Affairs acting.
He’s also administrator of African subsidiaries of the Group Maroc Telecom and also member of the Mossanada Association.
Mr. Boudaoud holds an MBA in Business Management of networks, a diploma of the Ecole Nationale des Postes et Télécommunications of Paris. ■
