MagnaChip chairman Michael Elkins resigns
Mr. Elkins became MagnaChip's director in November 2009 and Company's Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Audit Committee in August 2016. He is currently self-employed as an investor and business consultant.
From 2004 to 2012, Mr. Elkins was employed by affiliates of Avenue Capital Management, most recently as a Portfolio Manager of the Avenue U.S. Funds.
Prior to joining Avenue, Mr. Elkins was a Portfolio Manager and Trader with ABP Investments US. He served as a Portfolio Manager and Trader for UBK Asset Management, after joining the company as a High Yield Credit Analyst. He was a Credit Analyst for both Oppenheimer & Co. and Smith Barney.
Mr. Elkins has served on the board of directors of Bowlmor AMF, a consumer bowling and leisure company, since August 2013.
He previously served on the board of directors of QCE , Trump Entertainment, a casino company, American Media, Vertis Communication, Milacron, and Ion Media Networks.
Mr. Elkins holds a B.A. in Marketing from George Washington University and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. ■
