Jumeirah Group names group VP, brand marketing and loyalty
Mr. Tuqan has over 20 years’ experience in the region gained working for a number of major regional and international brands, including leading the Jumeirah digital account team 15 years ago during his time with OgilvyOne Middle East.
Following spells at OgilvyOne and with north55, Mr. Tuqan spent nearly 10 years with Flip Media, the Middle East’s leading digital agency, as CEO before the agency was acquired by Publicis and then subsequently integrated into Leo Burnett.
During his tenure, he worked with many iconic brands including Emirates, Emaar and Nakheel.
After successfully transitioning the agency to new owners, he was retained for a period as Chief Innovation Officer of Leo Burnett/Publicis Groupe MENA to drive their digital transformation and has most recently, been entrepreneur in residence for a venture capital company, advising high growth start-ups including Careem.
Aside from an enviable track record in both marketing and leadership, Mr. Tuqan is a Board Executive for the International Advertising Association’s UAE chapter and a gifted public speaker, frequently appearing at Cannes Lions, Dubai Lynx and Abu Dhabi Media Summit. ■
