March 1, 2007 New York, USA - Jonathan Spector, vice dean of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, has been named president and chief executive officer of The Conference Board, a business research group, effective April 16. Mr. Spector graduated from Wesleyan University with a joint degree in Math/Economics, and was graduated from the Harvard Business School in 1980. Mr. Spector began his career at McKinsey & Company, he was elected a principal in 1986 and a director in 1992. He worked in Hong Kong and Taiwan from 1989 to 1995, and he left McKinsey in 2000. Mr. Spector was appointed Vice Dean and Director of Wharton Executive Education in August, 2004. Prior to that time, Jon was Chairman and CEO of Easy411, Inc., and he served as CEO of Darwin Networks, a wireless ISP, and Seurat Company, a consulting company.
