Handy & Harman appoints William T. Fejes, Jr. as SVP
The promotion is following the completion of Handy & Harman acquisition of SL Industries.
Mr. Fejes has served as CEO and President of the Company since June 29, 2010. From 2007 until April 2010, He was the Chief Operating Officer of Seakeeper and prior to joining Seakeeper, Inc., Mr. Fejes was the President and CEO of TB Wood’s Corporation from 2004 to 2007, and was a director of TB Wood’s from 2004 to 2005.
Mr. Fejes also held various executive and management roles at Danaher Corporation for 18 years.
From March 2009 to February 2015, he served as a director of Broadwind Energy, a public company for which he also served as the Chairman of the Governance / Nominating Committee, and as a member of the Audit and Compensation Committees. From 2008 to 2010, he was a Director of Automation Solutions.
Jeffrey A. Svoboda, currently SVP of HNH and President & Chief Executive Officer of Group, has been promoted to Vice Chairman of Steel Partners Holdings, and will serve as co-President & Chief Executive Officer of Group for a transitional period ending in October 2016.
Mr. Svoboda has served as a director of the Company since June 2011 and has been President and Chief Executive Officer of HNH Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, since August 2011, and President of Handy & Harman (H&H), since January 2008, and of Bairnco since January 2009, each of H&H and Bairnco being a wholly owned subsidiary of HNH Group.
He has also served as a Senior Vice President of the Company since March 2009. He has previously served as a Group Executive and Corporate Vice President of Danaher Corporation from 2001 through 2007. From 1998 through 2001, he was with Fortune Brands as President of Moen Incorporated.
Mr. Svoboda's prior positions included Vice President of Manufacturing and Distribution for Black & Decker, General Manager of International Marketing and Sales for General Electric Appliances, and President of Electro Componentes de Mexico, an affiliate of General Electric. ■
