G4S appoints chief financial officer

Tim WellerG4S, a security firm, said that Tim Weller will succeed Himanshu Raja as CFO after Mr. Raja retires from the board and steps down from the role on October 1, 2016.

Mr. Weller, Petrofac CFO, joined Petrofac in September 2011 from Cable & Wireless Worldwide, where he had been chief financial officer between May 2010 and July 2011.

A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales with a degree in Engineering Science, Mr. Weller started his career with KPMG in London, eventually becoming a partner in KPMG’s Infrastructure Business Unit.

Until May 2010, Mr. Weller was chief financial officer at United Utilities Group PLC and had previously held chief financial officer roles with RWE Thames Water Limited and Innogy Holdings PLC (now RWE npower Holdings PLC) from 2002 to 2006.

He served as a non-executive director of BBC Worldwide until March 2013. He was appointed as a non-executive director of the Carbon Trust and G4S plc.

As well as having responsibility for all core finance functions including tax, audit, treasury and investor relations, Mr. Raja oversees IT and procurement for G4S globally.

Prior to joining G4S, Mr. Raja was CFO at Misys, and from 2010 to 2012 he was CFO of Logica plc.

He worked for more than 10 years at BT Group in a number of divisional finance director roles including Chief Financial Officer of BT Global Services, BT Design, BT Operate and BT Wholesale. His early career included finance and systems roles at Worldcom International, UUNET and MFS.

Mr. Raja is a qualified chartered accountant and holds an honours degree in law.
