Founding CEO of Alliance Bank of Arizona James Lundy to retire
Mr. Lundy has been Executive Vice President of Arizona Administration for Western Alliance Bancorporation and Chief Executive Officer of the Alliance Bank of Arizona division of Western Alliance Bank since February 2003.
Mr. Lundy was also a director of Western Alliance from February 2003 to March 2005.
From June 1991 to June 2002, he served as Senior Vice President and Executive Vice President of National Bank of Arizona, and from December 2000 to June 2002, as Vice Chairman of National Bank of Arizona.
Mr. Lundy is the immediate past Chair and current board member of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC), Chair of the Catholic Community Foundation, Secretary of the Phoenix Civic Improvement Corporation, and he currently serves on the FDIC Advisory Committee on Community Banking.
Mr. Lundy is a past Chair of the Arizona Bankers Association and the Arizona Chapter of Teach for America.
Don H. Garner, a member of the organization’s original management team, becomes the new CEO of Alliance Bank of Arizona, effective January 1, 2017.
Mr. Garner has been a commercial and real estate banker in Arizona for 26 years and previously served as Executive Vice President and statewide Real Estate Manager for Alliance Bank of Arizona’s commercial and residential lending group.
Mr. Garner started his career at Valley National Bank in 1990 and has been with Alliance Bank since its inception in 2003. ■
