Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy joins Accor board
Mr. Moussalem serves as Head of Europe at Colony Capital, Inc. and served as its Co-Head Europe since July 30, 2015. He has been an Executive Director at Colony Capital, Inc. since July 30, 2015.
Prior to joining Colony Capital in 2000, Mr. Moussalem was employed in the Financial Products engineering department at AXA in Paris.
He serves as Non executive Chairman of Data 4. He has been a Director at Edenred SA since June 29, 2010. He serves on the board of Carmila, Accor & Edenred. He serves as Director at Carrefour SA.
He has been a Director of Accor S.A. since April 25, 2013. Mr. Moussalem served as a Proprietary Director of Distribuidora Internacional de Alimentación, S.A.
Mr. Moussalem graduated from the Ecole Centrale in Lyon, with a Masters in Information Technology.
To succeed him, the Board has unanimously coopted Nicolas Sarkozy as an independent Director.
Mr. Sarkozy served as President of France and ex officio Co-Prince of Andorra from 16 May 2007 until 15 May 2012.
Before his presidency, he was the leader of the Union for a Popular Movement (UMP) party.
Mr. Sarkozy enrolled at the Université Paris X Nanterre, where he graduated with an M.A. in private law and, later, with a D.E.A. degree in business law.
He will chair the International Strategy Committee. ■
