F5 Networks names François Locoh-Donou as president and CEO

Mr. Locoh-Donou currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Ciena, a network strategy and technology company.
Mr. Locoh-Donou previously held successive leadership positions at Ciena, including Senior Vice President, Global Products Group; Vice President and General Manager, EMEA; Vice President, International Sales; and Vice President, Marketing.
Prior to Ciena, he held research and development roles with Photonetics, a French opto-electronics company.
Mr. Locoh-Donou holds engineering degrees from École Centrale de Marseille and Télécom ParisTech in France and a M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
He succeeds current President and CEO, John McAdam, who will remain a Director on F5's Board upon his retirement on April 3, 2017.
Mr. McAdam joined F5 in July 2000. He served as Board Chairman.
Prior to joining F5, Mr. McAdam served as General Manager of the Web server sales business at IBM.
From January 1995 until August 1999, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Sequent Computer Systems, a manufacturer of high-end open systems, which was sold to IBM in September 1999.
Mr. McAdam serves on the board of directors of Tableau Software and Apptio.
He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Glasgow, Scotland.
