ExOne appoints James L. McCarley as CEO

ExOneExOne Company, a provider of 3D printing machines and printed products, announced that James L. McCarley has joined the company as chief executive officer.

Mr. McCarley formerly served as Executive Vice President—Operations of RTI International Metals from May 2010 until July 2015, when Alcoa acquired RTI by merger. He also served in the same position during the transition period after the merger, through September 2015.

Mr. McCarley had previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of General Vortex Energy from September 2009 to May 2010.

From 1996 through 2009, he held a variety of management positions within the forging segment of Precision Castparts Company, including Division President of Wyman Gordon Forging West from 2008 to 2009, and Vice President and General Manager of Wyman Gordon Forging from 2006 to 2008.

From 1987 to 1996, Mr. McCarley gained engineering and other relevant experience working for various companies, including Quantum Chemical, Cameron Iron Works, and General Electric Company.

Mr. McCarley received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University in 1987.

S. Kent Rockwell, previously Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, is transitioning to Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Rockwell has served as Company's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since January 1, 2013, when the Company was formed as a Delaware corporation.

Prior to that date, he served as the Managing Member of Ex One Company, LLP, Company's predecessor, since 2008.

Mr. Rockwell has been the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Rockwell Venture Capital since 1983 and of Appalachian Timber Services since 1986.

He served as Vice Chairman of Argon ST from 2004 to 2010, as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sensytech from 1998 to 2004 and was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Astrotech International from 1989 to 1997.

From 1987 to 1989, Mr. Rockwell was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Special Metals; from 1978 to 1982, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of McEvoy Oilfield Equipment; and he served on the Board of Directors of Rockwell International from 1973 until 1982 and President of the Energy Products Group of Rockwell International from 1977 to 1982. â–
