October 22, 2008, Atlanta, Ga., USA - Coca-Cola Enterprises announced the company's board of directors has elected John Hunter as director. Mr. Hunter is filling the vacancy created by the resignation of Gary Fayard from CCE's board of directors.

Mr. Hunter joins the board with extensive global and operational experience with the Coca-Cola system. He held various positions of increasing responsibility within the Coca-Cola system in international markets such as Japan, Hong Kong and Australia. Mr. Hunter retired in 1996 as Executive Vice President of The Coca-Cola Company and President of Coca-Cola International. During his career, Mr. Hunter has served on the boards of Coca-Cola Amatil, Coca-Cola Ltd (now Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company), Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines Inc., Coca-Cola Bottling Company of New York (now a part of CCE), and most recently as Chairman of Seagram Spirits and Wine Group. Mr. Hunter will serve the remaining portion of Mr. Fayard's term, which expires in April 2010.
