The 70" KDL-70XBR3 is the largest screen size in the Bravia line and you can have it for 32,999.99 dollars, and while it seems expensive it's not for what it offers.
There are three lines, very similar in quality and with subtle differences: XBR8, XBR7, and XBR6. Naturally, XBR8 is Sony's state of the art. We are talking here about full HD 1080p 55-inch KDL-55XBR8 and 46-inch KDL-46XBR8 models. Those models incorporate Triluminos three-color LED backlight technology. It uses local dimming, 10-bit processing ,and 10-bit panel to deliver deep black and accurate colors. Triluminos LED backlight technology greatly expands the color range by aligning clusters of red, green and blue LEDs, elevating color purity compared to single white LED backlights.
Sony also improved its Bravia Engine, now it's called Bravia Engine 2 PRO, and the engineers added Motionflow technology. Motionflow allows you to enjoy film with great clarity and resolution in motion. The Motionflow algorithm identifies film content and removes "judder" which results in a clearer picture with smoother motion. Motionflow 120Hz technology creates additional 60 frames between each of the existing 60 frames, doubling the frames displayed per second, further improving image quality.
Another nice feature is Digital Media Port compatibility which provides access to video and music from MP3 players. The models also can display digital photos using multi-plane 3D graphics slideshows from USB devices, as well as access photos from your PC in another room using DLNA devices via your home network. There are all types of input connectors: four 1080/60 24p HDMI connections (HDCP), two 1080/60p HD component inputs, a 1080/60p-capable PC input, Ethernet (RJ-45) port and a RS-232C connection.
