The life is not fair. It shouldn't matter where you are born, but it does matter. If you are born outside South Korea you can just read their press releases and cry. It's not fair.

Going hand in hand with other eco-companies, Samsung Electronics introduced few new phones and two of them are eco-friendly. The names are W510 and F268 (very good names, easy to remember, especially if you are on drugs). W510 is company's first mobile phone with bio-plastic made from natural material extracted from corns. Samsung has been working for some time now developing more renewable and eco-friendly material compared with common plastic produced from petroleum. When producing W510, Samsung did not use any heavy metals, such as lead, mercury, and cadmium, and applied water-soluble coating.

The other brother is F268 with all the accessories, including charger and headset, that doesn't contain Brominated Flame Retardant (BFRs) or PVC. Samsung F268 has an alarm function to encourage users to unplug their charger when the devices are fully charged. The product also is following the Energy Star requirements as well, which is strict energy-efficiency guidelines set by the US Environmental Protection Agency and the US Department of Energy.

W510 is made for the Korean market and F268 for the Chinese market. Thet will be launched in June and we in other countries may cry.

But... But, there are two new nice and good mobile phones that we already saw outside South Korea. Samsung introduced the new Soulb and L700, two premium bar type phones that are offering the style and outstanding features.

The younger brother of the first Sprit of Ultra (Soul), Soulb is the well-known Soul in a bar form factor. Its sleek silhouette and metallic body together with an elegant hairline pattern is reminiscent of the first Soul model, and its range of five nice, nice colours, Soul Grey, Platinum Silver, Metallic Black, Soul Pink, Amethyst Violet and Red, will satisfy even the most discerning, style-conscious users’ needs. (That's me!)

The new Soulb is not just skin-deep, it also comes equipped with the latest features and technologies. An embedded 3-megapixel camera with Power LED, office document viewer, speedy internet browser and Bluetooth are all here, as well as a music player, video editor and recorder, FM radio with RDS and 1GB internal memory.

The L700 is another metal-body phone embellished with Samsung’s signature hairline pattern. It is beautifully-designed, and it has the ergonomic keypad which allows users to navigate and dial with ease, while the large 2.1-inch display is perfect for enjoying their favourite media and entertainment files. With 3G WEDGE network, the L700 provides wider access that enables users to easily hold a video conversation and gain faster access to media. The L700 is also compacted with practical and necessary up-to-date features such as a 2-megapixel camera with flash LED, office document viewer, full speed internet browser, Bluetooth, as well as various entertainment features.
