The Mouse-Box, currently a working prototype, packs a 1.4 GHz quad-core ARM CPU, a micro-HDMI port, WiFi up to 802.11n, accelerometer, gyroscope, two USB 3.0 ports and 128 GB flash into the familiar form of a pointing device.
Mouse-Box will ship with an inductive charger.
There is also a cloud storage service, and the hardware includes space for an optional battery. When it's ready for the market, Mouse-Box will ship with an inductive charger. The HDMI port is the key: it's imagined users will connect the Mouse-Box to a nearby monitor.
When users are at home, the device will nestle on their desks and behave like any other mouse. On the road, the device will hook up to a monitor to provide a familiar environment.
