After two years New South Wales ready to go with Sydney Harbour tunnel
After more than two years of hard work, the NSW Government has: revealed the preferred route for the project, begun notifying 71 property owners potentially impacted by the route, committed $77 million to undertake necessary geotechnical work along the route to start just after Easter, commenced a market sounding process involving the private sector to investigate funding options and delivery approaches, and started community information sessions on the general alignment.
“The NSW Government is committed to delivering this important project which will reduce congestion along the gridlocked Spit and Military Roads and provide a Sydney Harbour and Anzac Bridge bypass for Western and Southern Sydney motorists,” Ms Berejiklian said. ■
