Wild as a tiger, gentle as a rose
Taking in the view from the fly bridge it is not hard to understand why the Powerplay 56 is a great cruiser in its class. With its Volvo IPS propulsion system and the displacements hulls this great catamaran glides smoothly through blue waters in a comfortable ride.
The fly bridge is the control centre of every yacht and here it offers good visibility all around the boat. There is also ample room for your friends to join you and the yacht is fully equipped for entertaining and, that's a fact, she was designed from the start for an outdoor lifestyle. The wide walk around side decks makes it easy to get from the jacuzzi on the very wide foredeck to the barbecue on the open aft deck. This is also a great fishing platform for the enthusiastic fishermen.
After the flying bridge you can take your friends to a large saloon area fitted with a leather lounge and surround-sound entertainment system which includes a DVD, CD, and a TV which can be lowered and stored when not in use. The galley is incorporated in the saloon area so the cook (read: you) is always part of the party and fully equipped with a dishwasher, stove, microwave and a large double door fridge with ice maker. Recipes not included.
Port side is dedicated to you, the owner. The spacious accommodation is fitted with a really big bed, full size hanging storage, and office area. The starboard side of Powerplay 56 Tiger Rose has a guest stateroom forward with queen size berth and full hanging storage. A shared bathroom separates the forward and aft cabin, aft of the boat is a double cabin fitted with lots of storage space and it can be used for additional guests accommodation.
This boat is not only beautifully appointed but it has the state of the art technology built-in. The Empirbus system was first fitted on a Powerplay Catamaran and it has now become a standard feature on all their boats and rightly so. The intelligent system can send the information about alarms or other unwanted event to you via SMS if you are away. You can also see the position of the boat, the state of the batteries and turn off the lights all via SMS. It's obvious that technology here is not just because "tech is in" but in full service to the owner.
Powerplay was the first displacement Catamaran in the world to have Volvo IPS motors fitted and it has proven to be incredibly manoeuvrable and efficient. The IPS system with joystick control takes all the stress out of docking at the end of a perfect day because they allow you to manoeuvre the yacht with incredible ease. A lot of thinking went into design of Powerplay 56 Tiger Rose and the result is a great boat for an outdoor lifestyle. ■
