The web magazine for top managers - who's promoted, who came, who left? And what to do when you're not in the office.
It's not Formula 1, but is so fast. It's not Lamborghini, but it looks so aggressive. It's not 20 meters long limousine, but there's even more comfort in it. Introducing the new Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG.
On the front there is the new bonnet with two power domes, the trademark AMG radiator grille, and the traditional central star. The fog lamps has chrome surroundings the and are pretty well apart which make the C 63 even wider then it actually is. Along with the headlamps, that can be bi-xenon or the Intelligent Light System, that gives C 63 the aggressive, yet still elegant look. Such beat deserves the 18-inch light-alloy wheels with "6.3 AMG" lettering. The LED rear lights, AMG sports exhaust system (two chrome twin tailpipes!) are the details that separate C 63 from any other Mercedes (or any other car, for that matter).
While the exterior is combination on power and look, the interior is pride and joy. The AMG sport seats have head restraints integrated, the lumbar support and side bolsters (you will need them, trust me). The seats are in ARTICO man-made leather and you can choose black or grey or Sahara beige. The steering wheel in a three-spoke design with the upper section in perforated leather, and two silver AMG shift paddles for the manually shifted gears.
And what leather-covered steering wheel controls? Well, lot of it. The new Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG has formidable maximum torque of 600 Newton meters and 457 hp. That means that the C 63 AMG accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. That also means it had to be electronically restrained to 250 km/h. And that also means there must be some that will keep C 63 under control and for that it have the front brakes of 360 x 36-millimetre discs with six-piston, and at the rear 330 x 26-millimetre discs with four-piston. The ESP (Electronic Stability Program) is configured for the dynamic drive, and C 63 is the first AMG model with the 3-stage ESP with a Sport function. The driver can to choose between three modes, "ESP ON", "ESP SPORT" and "ESP OFF", and the currently active mode is shown in the central display.
The new Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG can be described as the savage power in the Brioni suit. However, it is more easier to comprehend what why we'll wait until April 2008 when you see it alive (or on the pictures). So, for the end a few impressive technical data:
