Back in 1956 M. Henri Jeanneau started to build boats in his father's workshop. The following year the first Jeanneau was created and the name was born. Jeanneau celebrates fifty years and still manages to surprise its customers.

Jeanneau became a part of Groupe Beneteau in 1995 in an effort to create the largest sailboat group worldwide. That was successful acquisition and Jeanneau continued to make very popular yachts and motorboat. From the other side, Beneteau group got the tradition, knowledge and above all the passion for yacht building. Those of us who are even a little bit in yachting recognize the name instantly, and those who are admirers of the firm land will surely remember the Kevin Costner's film Waterworld. Well, the Jeanneau Techniques Avancées (JTA) built the trimaran for that production.

Celebrating its birthday, Jeanneau introduced the new sailboat Sun Fast 3200. Designed is signed by Daniel Andrieu and she is aimed at fast cruising and racing enthusiasts and "particularly for downwind sailing". Sun Fast 3200 is 10,10 meters in length overall, the hull is very wide and she has two rudders, displacement is 3400 kg. 3200 has two cabins and 6 berths, water capacity is 80 liters and she can take 75 liters of fuel for its 15 Hp Yanmar engine. And the sail on this fast yacht? There's mainsail of 32 m2, genoa of 28 m2, and spinnaker of 83 m2.

In the spacious interior there are two large double berths aft, central saloon, galley and chart table at foot of companionway, heads forward, watertight bulkheads... In the central saloon there are two bench seats with back rest of two meters; storage under bench seats, behind back rests, and under side deck to port and starboard, and 80 liters water tank under saloon seating.

Aft cabins have double berth 1,96 meters long, access to engine compartment and battery switches. The galley's worktop is made of laminate, there's pressurized cold-water tap, 60 liters icebox, stainless steel sink, storage and access to through-hull. The new Jeanneau's twin-rudder, twin-tiller primary target group are amateurs on single- and double handed distance races. And the central word in Sun Fast 3200 is "fast". There is no doubt she will be fast enough both on the sea and on the very demanding market.
