Maybach Landaulet: Open roof and cool champagne

Maybach is well-known name in the segment of luxury cars. Now, Daimler goes one step further by introducing Maybach Landaulet.

Landaulet has its world premier in Dubai, a logical place for introducing such a luxury limousine. Klaus Nesser, Head of Maybach and SLR, said that "the sky is the limit", and Maybach Landaulet confirms that literally - there is nothing between the passengers and the sky. Landaulet has a roof that can be opened at the rear by a touch of a button, providing a great experience while cruising down the sandy road.

Landaulet is based on Maybach 62s: It is powered by V12 engine that with a little help of 5980 cubic centimetres develops 612 hp and brutal maximum torque of 1000 Newton metres. The engineers did a great job here developing powerful twin turbochargers and water inter-cooling engine. All that power is controlled by powerful brakes with electro-hydraulic Sensotronic Brake Control systems, with a little help of ESP, ASR, ABS and Brake Assist technologies. The comfort is assured via air suspension AIRMATIC Dual Control and the Adaptive Damping System, so the feeling must be like riding the clouds.

The engine is for the chauffer to enjoy, of course, and you'll enjoy in luxury interior where great attention were being paid to every detail. The roof is certainly the first detail that won't go unnoticed. Maybach Landaulet is painted white, and so is the space for passengers. The roof is electro-hydraulically-driven and a button in the centre console in driver’s area operates it. It takes 16 seconds to open or close the roof, and roof mechanism is hidden all the time.

Contrary to driver's area that is painted black, the interior, meant to be yours, is all in white leather. That finish is named Antigua and it is in harmony with 20-inch white wheels, designed just for Landaulet, and white indicators in the front. There are details that connects the driver's area are piano lacquered inserts that make a fantastic contrast with the white leather.

Maybach Landaulet is a spacious car, as it should be. There are two passenger seats that can accommodate tall passengers who can enjoy cruising in Landaulet very comfortably. To make life easier on hot Middle East sun there is automatic climate control systems, two state of the art devices. To make a cruising even better you can enjoy in music via CD-changer with six CDs or in movie from a DVD-player. Drink is stored in a cooler while all glasses and champagne bottles are there, too.
