The web magazine for top managers - who's promoted, who came, who left? And what to do when you're not in the office.
The sport car is nice to have. The nice boat too. However, if you have a desire and don't have a space for both, go and see Gibbs' Aquada. In a true fashion of 007, Gibbs Technologies spend seven year to develop Aquada. A car can be converted to a boat in mere 12 seconds. So, you can enjoy the smooth ride on the highway until you spot a beautiful lady on a yacht, a few hundred meters from the beach. Smooth and relaxed, you'll drive your Aquada to the water, press the button and in 12 seconds you'll be in the water, heading toward the beauty. And while listening car stereo and cruising the blue sea at 30 mph, well, it's hard not to have that Bond smile on the face.
The Aquada can go as fast as 160 kilometers on dry and 45 kmph on the water. The 70 Gibbs' engineers did a good job with design too: Aquada has sport look and it is practically the same when converted to a boat. Its 175hp engine and jet propulsion system are powerful enough to tow a water skier.
Aquada certainly is the faster amphibian and deserves the adjective "sport", but the feeling of driving the car/boat wherever you like is hard to beat. The price in US is expected to be near $100,000 in 2009 when shipment begins. Before going into water remember that you need a boat license, too.
