One computer and four hands
Website "Position & promotion" started at February 2006 as a website that brings the news about career changes in the world of top managers. A year and a half later, and that would be this May, we were unsatisfied. We had our readers, from business schools to CEOs, but we wanted more. So we decided to give ourselves more work to do. It was not an easy decision, because we have ours regular jobs and Histerius design studio at the same time. But, we decide to start web magazine for managers. "Position & promotion" got few more words and on one computer with our four hands "Positions & Promotions & life after five" was born six months ago.
And what was the result of our efforts? In December we saw six times more visits than in June, and 20 times more than in January! Our youngest section "In sickness and health" started in September and became the most interesting section to our readers. We wish to thank you for all your e-mails that you sent, to casual readers, CEOs, designers and especially to doctors on support and great help. We are aware that you have overloaded working days and it is not easy to sit down, concentrate and write a mail to poandpo. We must say, there were funny ones that made us smile and our work was instantly much easier. That way, we say once again, thank you from all our hearts for being with us and we hope that you will write to us next year too. We know that we'll do our best. Some time ago, one Croatian journalist sent a fax message from New York to his editorial board, and the message read: "Today nothing happened". He was instantly promoted to best target for jokes of any kind imaginable and we smile at that even today. Now, we remember that and it is hard not to ask yourself, did we really live in time when wars, floods, hurricanes and murders are only news, and painting exhibits, fairs, science and art something that people mention now and then? If that's the case, in New Year we wish you no news at all. For the end of this year we wish you health and happiness. The other things will come by themselves. We must end this year's articles with the well-known sentence from beauty contests for which we hope that it will not remain an empty phrase: World peace.
