Ireland service sector maintains strong growth momentum
The seasonally adjusted Purchasing Managers' Index for the services sector rose to 58.4 in August from 58.3 in July. Any reading above 50 indicates expansion in the sector.
Among components, activity, new orders and employment all increased at solid rates in August.
On the price front, input price inflation softened to a nine-month low in August. Similarly, output prices rose at the weakest rate in five months. ■
